SOA: Getting started
Wednesday, 26 Mar, 2008As an emerging approach to information systems, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) – sometime referred to as Enterprise Service Oriented Architecture (eSOA) – still has barriers to be overcome before it can be successfully introduced to an organisation.
The information on SOA can be confusing and different experts can at times even be contradictory in their advice, making it difficult for an organisation to know what is the best way to begin the journey.
The issues that need to be considered when planning for SOA have been examined in a new Soltius white paper, SOA: Getting started. This paper highlights potential pitfalls when recommending an SOA adoption to an organisation’s management or Board and discusses some of the different options for starting the process.
